Madison went to Brookfield Zoo for her first birthday.
She loved the big animals - the tigers, bears, elephants, and giraffes. She was fascinated by the gorillas, especially when they raced around and chased each other. She thought the baby penguins were cute, but a little stinky. |

| Auntie Mavis and cousin James also had a good time. They brought special first birthday balloons to decorate Madison's stroller. | ||||
| At the Children's Zoo, Madison had the chance to pet a chick and a bantam rooster. She liked the puppet play of The Very Hungry Catepillar. |  |
